Harana is the act of musical courtship, done to win a propsective partner’s heart. And we’re continuing that tradition with @gio_7622 @haranakwintet and @simplewithanaccent 🎶🇵🇭

@gio_7622 @haranakwintet - Gio DS is a Filipino multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and arranger based in the GTA. He is known for his experience in multiple crafts, including piano performance, sound design, production, and arranging. Joining Gio is Harana Kwintet, a folk-fusion group, led by him, that fuses traditional Filipino styles of music with modern grooves and harmony. Harana Kwintet has been featured at the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival and on Filipino TV.

@simplewithanaccent - Simplé is a Toronto-based band blending R&B, pop, and global influences into a sound shaped by diaspora, community, and musical curiosity. Formed in 2023 by Alaina Ardiente, Malou Gloria, Kevin Sia, and Matthew Reyes, Simplé has performed across the GTA for audiences like Toyota Canada, Amazon Canada, the City of Mississauga with RBC, and the City of Pickering.
